Welcome to Bangkok.
This place is rainy, it’s super hot, it has crazy traffic, but somehow… Bangkok has over 20 million tourists a year. That makes this tiny city, with a population of 10 million, the most visited city in the world.
And even with Covid, this city is still booming with tourists!
How did Bangkok become the most popular travel destination in the world?!
Let’s take a look.

Bangkok loves everyone!

The unique thing about Bangkok is that it’s got almost no travel restrictions for any person from any country in the world.
So you can be Israeli, American or even Mongolian – Bangkok will happily welcome you without a visa!
And even if you DO need a visa, they’ll give it to you when you arrive!
No documents, no delays, and no extra expenses. All you need to do is pack your bags and get on a plane!

It’s cheap!

Bangkok is the cheap traveler’s dream!
If you want to stay the night, you can do so at a fancy 5-star hotel for less than $100 a night.
But that’s not all, you can get noodles here for less than 35 cents and a bottle of beer just costs $1. Because that’s everything you need for a fun night out in Bangkok.
If you want unique clothes that nobody else in the world has, you can get a high quality custom-made suit for less than $300. That’s $700 dollars less than a suit at Hugo Boss.
So if you want a world-class travel experience without breaking the bank, Bangkok is the place to go.

It’s got amazing places!

Bangkok has some of the most exciting places in the world!
Here you’ll find a giant three-headed elephant, a temple that has David Beckham carved in it, and a building that looks like a Robot.
But that’s not all.
There’s one place here you’ll find nowhere else in the world : a fruit and vegetable market built on train tracks.
That’s right.
8 times a day shopkeepers have to gather their things and get out of the way to make room for the passing train.
Once the train is gone, everything is back to normal, as if nothing happened in the first place!

And it’s got great people

Bangkok’s hospitality is world-class. This place has some of the nicest and most friendly people you’ll meet.
You can go to a restaurant, a hotel or even the street and people will always welcome you.
Every single one of them is happy to help. So you’ll never feel lost or out of place, despite being a first-time visitor.

4 tips to get the most out of your trip:

  1. Always carry a map – Bangkok is filled with small streets and lanes that seem to appear out of nowhere. So it’s quite easy to get lost there. Even though google maps is useful, it’s sometimes in Thai, so if you want to find your way around keep an English language map with you at all times.
  2. Use the metro to get around – The traffic and weather in Bangkok are scary. That’s why using the metro is the quickest and most comfortable way to get around the city.
  3. Carry a copy of your documents – You never know when a cop might ask for them, so instead of carrying your actual passport, keep a photocopy with you to be prepared.
  4. Always negotiate the price – If there’s no fixed price on something, you can surely get it for up to 40% cheaper. Feel free to haggle, but do it nicely.
Bangkok is an incredible place that has something for everybody. Its amazing prices, people and places will make you go back home with a lot more than you came with. So pack your bags, Bangkok is waiting.
